Our old TV broke, and the multilayer theft of privacy required to set up our new one is giving me conniptions. Once it's up and running I'll go back and delete the GoogleTV and wifi parts and run everything off an external Roku, but still: fuck Google and every smart TV manufacturer.

What the Hisense setup screen SHOULD say is: "Dear Customer: THANK YOU for buying our TV. The money you paid us is plenty. We won't sell anything about you to anyone, because that would be ungrateful."
