As the #UK's #AgeVerification attack on #VPN has now begun, do not rush to allegedly "free" VPNs. They're simply logging and data extraction traps.

Even when you're short on money, you can team up with others to reduce costs:

Mullvad VPN (@mullvadnet@mastodon.online) is €60 ≈ £53 / year for 5 devices, i.e. ~ £11.60 / year for a single device.
IVPN Pro (@ivpn@mastodon.social) is $100 ≈ £74 / year for 7 devices, i.e. ~ £10.60 / year for a single device.

Both services accept payment via "good old bank notes in an envelope". Both have a great track record of not logging user activity.
