Massive surrealist architecture has been a prominent recurring theme in my dreams ever since I was a kid, especially irl places I'd been in, extrapolated. The tiles of the place my uncle rented enlarged and curved like the ceiling underside of an elaborate mosque, the paths of a brutalist Swiss airport turned into something that felt like it was from Blame!, a structure of incalculable poles and string that seemed to perpetually twist and snap and crash into the ground and freefall thru the air without any of it affecting me on it.

After getting home from that church in my latest church thread post, I was tired as shit cuz I'd only had 4 hours of sleep beforehand, so I eventually fell into a deep sleep and had another dream!! The simple and harmonious church building had been extrapolated into a gaudy gargantuan surrealist version of itself. This place visually was the physical equivalent of some chaotic unintentional netart like hosanna1. It seemed like my brain had somehow reframed the entire potential weirdness of mixing hosanna1's Trump supporter elements with this black church by synthesising it with Sun Ra's retro afrofuturism and a faint drop of Time Cube-esque schizophrenic conspiracism mixed in. Maybe more Royal Robertson? I don't think I know him well enough for that. At one point I was in a courtyard with a large oak? tree in the middle. I don't know if this was inside the building or not but there was definitely sky, turned to gray as 30 hand sized white cloths/towls? flew around the tree and its billowing leaves in like a mid air carousel as magic beyond me took place. Tons of huddled churchgoers (elaborate fits covered more of 'em than usual) watched from the insane stairs and balconies zigzagging all over the four surrounding walls. Found the stairs out. marble steps with large pastel plasticky strips with heavily misspelled godly phrases on them broke it up almost at random. an image of a glowing Afghan hound was on one. there was a gold trimmed slit in between some stairs, I got down and crawled thru barely fitting. In this dark basement was a man with something wrong, and my dad. They both wore OG Star Wars-ass jackets with more color and patches. Dad was raising a metal claw he was wearing as a glove. There was someone in the irl church who testified that he'd lived thru 700 volts going into his head. Maybe Dad was healing that here. Maybe Dad was gonna send those volts thru him, lol. Either way, Dad put his metallic claw on his head, then Dad woke me up irl for dinner.

today me, my dad, and my lil bro all went to a different church than usual with turkish exmil guy, cuz one of his other friends preaches there sometimes. it was funny to watch my lil bro and turkish guy, cuz only dad and i've really been to black churches before and understood how to code switch. there's actually a lot abt them (at least of the archetype of this one) i believe damn near objectively christmogs most white churches, and i dont think its just me being naturally more of a rhythm person than most people i meet of all races. id prolly go to a place like this if i still believed in god. mind u my perspective is informed by how my family's current usual church used to be more mixed and have both a white and black preacher, but its slow creep towards cynically optimizing for capitalism seems to be inextricably in lockstep with its enwhitening.

dreamed of a game apparently concocted by my subconscious where u moved by slingshotting ur circular body across various wall-less glass tile mazes floating in a void, containing increasingly esoteric and violent challenges inspired by ancient prophetic literature. the clearest one i remember was a boss fight? inspired by that bible verse about hyraxes and also the lowest levels of hell in dante's inferno. after i beat it i got 6 skins, browsable in a menu my mind definitely stole from a flash game, including a hyrax themed skin lol

the pastor said he asked chatgpt for things to do with the kids on a basketball team he was involved in coaching. delivered it like it was a haha #relatable moment too.
