I noticed around twenty years ago that insects in Europe were in serious decline. It didn’t even need a ‘scientific study’ and I use the same methodology today. In the 1980s, in summer, when I drove in Europe, the windscreen of my car was covered in dead insects after only 100km of driving. By the early 2000s this was no longer true. Many fewer bug-splats on the glass. Now? Hardly any at all. You cannot blame Climate Change for this. This is down to excessive pesticides and farming techniques. Now studies show bird populations in serious decline. Ever wonder what they used to eat? We learnt nothing from the DDT fiasco, apparently. #insects #flies #driving #Climate #ClimateChange #pesticides #farming #environment #Birds #bioaccumulation #systemcollapse

#Politique #Reportages #AgricultureBio #Pesticides #AlternativesAuxPesticides #Municipales2026

If you're seeing headlines about how China is "switching back to US soybeans" after Brazil's turned out to be contaminated LOL no. It's like 5 facilities and 69K tons of soybeans. Out of ~2,000 facili

It wasn't even the soybeans that had the problem. The cargo ships that carried the soybeans had OTHER cargo holds with wheat in them. The wheat had pesticide levels that were too high. So the grain te

@sarahtaber@mastodon.online There is a reason we have the FDA and regulations. Safe Food!!! I often wonder if my wheat issues are more related to pesticides. In particular ones banned by the EU. If the food is EU safe, I can eat it. #Pesticides #FoodIntolerance #FDA #SafeFood
