La posizione di Khamenei, che auspica una vendetta contro Stati Uniti e Israele, è stata "molto dura e decisa" durante la sua prima riunione di politica estera, ha affermato il funzionario, senza specificare se la Guida Suprema fosse presente di persona. L'alto funzionario, che ha chiesto di rimanere anonimo, ha dichiarato che il nuovo leader ha chiarito che non è "il momento giusto per la pace finché Stati Uniti e Israele non saranno messi in ginocchio, non accetteranno la sconfitta e non pagheranno un risarcimento". Il 14 marzo, tre fonti avevano riferito a Reuters che l'amministrazione Trump ha respinto i tentativi degli alleati mediorientali di avviare negoziati diplomatici volti a porre fine alla guerra con l'Iran.
Ieri la nuova Guida suprema dell'Iran ha confermato che restano in carica i funzionari e i dirigenti nominati da suo padre, l'Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ucciso il 28 febbraio in un raid israelo-americano su Teheran. "Con la presente annuncio che, per il momento, nessuno di loro necessita del rinnovo del proprio incarico. È fondamentale che continuino il loro lavoro in conformità con la linea politica e le direttive ricevute mentre era in vita l'Ayatollah Khamenei", si legge in un post su 'X'.

Yesterday, the new Supreme Leader of Iran confirmed that officials and leaders appointed by his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed on February 28 in an Israeli-American raid on Tehran, remain in office. “With this announcement, we state that, for the time being, none of them need to renew their mandates. It is fundamental that they continue their work in accordance with the political line and directives received while Ayatollah Khamenei was alive,” it reads in a post on ‘X’.
